**Position Title**: Chemistry/Physics Teacher
**Location**: Tangier, Morocco
**School**: Canadian International School of Tangier
**Position Type**: Full-Time, Permanent
**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Instruction**:
- Create, plan, and execute Chemistry & Physics lessons that follow the Canadian curriculum.
- Utilize multiple instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Combine technology with real experiments to enhance learning.
- Evaluate and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
**Curriculum Development**:
- Work with colleagues to design and update curriculum documents.
- Stay current with knowledge in Chemistry and Physics, incorporating new teaching practices.
**Classroom Management**:
- Create a safe and positive learner-centered classroom with an emphasis on respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
- Set behavioral norms and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
**Student Support**:
- Identify and assist students who may require additional help, offering extra resources or tutoring as needed.
- Maintain frequent communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
**Professional Development**:
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Meet course delivery obligations by attending forums, workshops, and school events.
**School Community Involvement**:
- Engage in extracurricular activities, clubs, or school projects that enrich the wider school community.
- Foster a love of science among students within and beyond classrooms.
**Qualifications**:
- BSc/BA in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field; B.Ed is an additional advantage (Master’s will be considered).
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- At least two years of teaching experience in Chemistry and/or Physics, preferably at the high school level.
- Technologically savvy, with the capability to integrate technology into teaching.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
