**Why you should join**
The Application Tooling division is seeking an innovative Product Engineer to join our Portable tools Team in Tangier, Morocco reporting to management in the US.
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will design, analyze, and optimize products within the Portable Tools portfolio to meet customer objectives and the product management strategy. Using your engineering knowledge and design experience, you will solve problems, create solutions, and share information related to custom tools which satisfy demanding performance objectives and cost targets. You will work within a team of engineers and designers, and frequently collaborate with project managers, business managers, customers, field sales engineers, manufacturing teams, our internal model shop and vendors as necessary.
**Your main tasks**
- Gain familiarity with all the hand tool product lines that the team supports.
- Maintain and optimize existing products, implement product extensions, and develop new solutions to satisfy requirements provided by sales, customers, operations teams, manufacturing engineers or other colleagues
- Create 3D models, drawings, design layouts and perform FEA analyses
- Produce and revise engineering documentation in support of product development and sustaining, coordinating changes across multiple departments
- Assist other Product Engineers and/or lead projects with varying degrees of complexity within Product Engineering in support of strategic goals, new product introductions, and customer requests
**Your ideal background**
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design
- 3D modeling with CAD software (Creo preferred and experience with design automation programs a plus)
- DYNA preferred. Familiarity with stamping/forming simulations using other software packages to be considered.
- ISO GPS / ASME GD&T, DOE, FEA, Microsoft Office applications

**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.
**Your main tasks**
Designs and develops manufacturing and automation platforms for new and existing products
Creates and modifies CAD designs using Creo Parametric and PDM-Link; supports software updates and admin tasks
Develops, qualifies, and optimizes tooling, equipment, and processes to meet quality and production standards
Leads or contributes to projects, prepares concepts, cost estimates, and technical documentation
Ensures manufacturability of designs and supports smooth production ramp-up
Designs pneumatic systems and creates diagrams using SMC Pneudraw or E-Plan Fluid
Experience with automation components (conveyors, vibration feeders, etc.)
Conducts tests, analyzes results, and troubleshoots technical issues
Supports R&D with prototypes and sample manufacturing equipment
Coordinates with suppliers and external partners on machine design projects
Ensures compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Documents processes in TE systems (SAP, TLM) and ensures standardization
Provides training when needed and collaborates with cross-functional teams
Drives lean product development and manufacturing technology improvements
Maintains strong communication and problem-solving skills
**Your ideal background**
Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Min 2 years of experience in Process or Machine design
Proficient in 3D design tools (preferably Creo, Catia, SolidWorks)
Basic knowledge of CAD, CAE, and industrial/quality engineering tools
Familiar with LEAN, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methods (DoE, FMEA, A3, DMAIC)
Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
